Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen started that shit... and then Lebron and Chris Bosh did also.

Hell Lebron almost did it again when he went to play with Kyrie... and Kevin Love (who was KILLIN! with Grizzlies) if he stayed playing like that Kevin Love, they would take been unstoppable.

Damn shame folks single out KD.

Actually, Garnett and Allen were acquired via merchandise. That was but the work of a smart GM. James started the whole "super team" thing. That'southward one of the reason why I won't fifty-fifty consider him GOAT.

Is this the part where we pretend Detroit 4 allstars are comparable to GSW;s who accept multiple MVPs?

Did we feel this way when the Bulls or the lakers were winning iii straight years?

Nah games were battlegrounds back then, relative skill was closer, more entertaining finishing to games.

Haters gonna hate, congrats to the Warriors

Rest of the league just have to do better

Correction, the rest of the league has to go into luxury tax hell to compete. Likewise, the officials flat out take to practice a better job. When they can influence the outcome of a game/series and so they take to held more accountable. With that said nothing volition change with the corrupt league office.

1 proficient affair about KD is he prolongs Curry, Klays, and Dre'south run every bit champions.
I respect that trio.
I'1000 talking most the 2010 Celtics.

Point even so stands

Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen started that shit... so Lebron and Chris Bosh did also.

Hell Lebron almost did it once again when he went to play with Kyrie... and Kevin Dear (who was KILLIN! with Grizzlies) if he stayed playing similar that Kevin Love, they would have been unstoppable.

Damn shame folks single out KD.

Ugh, more than people not know what they're talking about. Do yous "new fans" know well-nigh the Rockets bringing together Barkley, Drexler, and Hakeem? Or the Lakers bringing together Shaq, Kobe, Malone, and Payton? These "new fans" are just abrasive.

Pretty clear at that place's a parity problem in the NBA (fifty-fifty more than and so than usual) but the NBA won't do anything until ratings and revenue are negatively impacted. Not sure how they would combat these super teams especially if players are prepared to accept unders for a shot at a championship.

Nah, we cared. Fifty-fifty when it was the Rut there were actual competitive finals. Yous didn't know which manner those games versus the Spurs were going to go.

Everyone knows GS wins the title every twelvemonth if nothing changes since Durant joined. Unless some other superteam forms, its the same for the next few years and so aye.

Lebron ran away when he couldn't beat the Celtics, formed the first super team in Miami.

The first super team.... This is another reason why people give up on discussing basketball game. Its full of people who know fuck all virtually NBA history babbling well-nigh the first this and that. They speak with such confidence but know absolutely zip, notwithstanding are the loudest. Everyone who disagrees with their bullshit is a hater though.

Okay.

Yeah, superteams in the NBA started in the 2000's.

Love played for the Wolves first of all, and the Cavs had to give upwards the #1 selection to get him. A lot of people even outside of Cleveland wanted James to go back and get them at least 1 championship, which he did against the odds. Then once more, if he didn't leave in the get-go place, who knows what would've happened once the Celtics blew up that squad?

Durant'south narrative on the other hand, well, he lost despite having a 3-1 lead, then instantly went to that same squad that shell him that was already breaking records left and right (and won a ring without him together). I would've liked to accept seen OKC Durant rematch Lebron in Cleveland, only he made his selection...

Is information technology all kind of bullshit regarding parity with the superteams? Possibly, merely the context still matters. There can be bigger piles of bullshit than others!

Congrats to the GSW fans.

I don't blame the Warriors one bit but yeah it's kind of boring when yous already know the outcome at the beginning of the season and there's no tension in the Finals.

NBA'southward biggest weakness is that in that location is no semblance of parity or hope for anyone but 1 or two teams. As a Bulls fan I don't even watch the regular flavor because I know we won't be competitive for at least some other iii-4 years if we're lucky. Every bit a Bears fan I at least take promise every season because, hey, you never know.

I don't know man, not a big fan of KD'southward motility to GSW just like I wasn't happy virtually Lebron'southward move to Miami with the greats. If this is the future of the NBA, let's but narrow the league downwardly to 16 teams or something.

Sure, no one cares he left OKC.
Merely not to the team you were upwardly 3-ane on, that had 74 wins and a championship
joecanada
  • #197
Durant ruined the NBA, is a coward, and yet hasn't won a genuine championship
What no way. The heat super squad with LeBron was grade A b.south. style before that
  • #198

No this is business as usual for the NBA. Every decade since 1946 at least one franchise has won at least three championships going back to the founding of the league. So literally every ten years at least one franchise has won at least 3 championships in those 10 years.

TerminusFox
  • #199
Certain, no 1 cares he left OKC.
But not to the team you were upward 3-1 on, that had 74 wins and a championship
Bruh ANY team in that position was going to take Durant.

You lot think GSW was just going to say "Nah human that'd make the league non-competitive" and turn him away?

Ya'll be tripping with this nonsense.

Actually, Garnett and Allen were acquired via trade. That was just the work of a smart GM. James started the whole "super team" matter. That's one of the reason why I won't even consider him Caprine animal.

Why isn't it smart when players do it? The simply divergence between mod super teams and super teams from the past is that people seem to take issue with players taking ownership of their own careers for some reason.
